Apple now owns apple.co.uk after years of neglect

Apple has finally managed to get hold of apple.co.uk. Unfortunately for Apple, the domain name was owned by a UK company known now as Apple Agency (At appleageny.co.uk).

It not all good news though, if you go to apple.co.uk you could forgiven for thinking it was an affiliate link if you looked at the URL : http://www.apple.com/uk/?cid=oas-emeia-domains-apple.co.uk with a variable about the redirector. It simply takes you to the existing UK Version on the apple.com site. Strangely, store.apple.co.uk doesn’t work (with the main version being store.apple.co.uk) but apple.co.uk/store does.

We all know that Apple is bad when it comes to the web and legal areas around branding, but they always seem to win.
